Acquisition criteria
We know exactly what we are looking for.
One sector, one country, controlling stakes only. That discipline is why we can move quickly when a business fits.
01What fits
The shape of a business we buy.
If most of this describes your company, it is worth a conversation — even if you are years away from selling.
- Sector
- Transport, logistics, warehousing and freight services
- Location
- UK incorporated, UK trading, UK customers
- Revenue
- £3m to £15m
- Profitability
- Profitable and cash generative — EBITDA of £0.5m or more
- Stake
- Controlling interest only; we do not take minority positions
- Owner
- Willing to hand over properly, whether over months or years
02How a deal works
Four steps, no auction.
- Step 1
First conversation
A confidential call with the people who make the decision. No brokers between us, no long forms.
- Step 2
Indicative offer
Two years of accounts and a view of the operation is usually enough for us to put a number on the table.
- Step 3
Diligence and completion
Focused commercial, financial and compliance review, then a share purchase on agreed terms.
- Step 4
Life after the deal
The company keeps its name and its team. We fund the platform and sit at board level, not in the traffic office.
03What we bring
Ownership that adds something.
- Funding for fleet, sites, systems and working capital, released as the operation proves it can absorb it
- Transport management, telematics and back-office systems shared across the group
- Group buying power on fuel, insurance, maintenance and subcontract capacity
- Monthly reporting and a board that meets on a fixed cadence, so decisions are made on numbers
- Management strengthened underneath the owner, so the business does not depend on one person
